Ralph

Between other things going on this summer, Ralph kept us busy.  Who is Ralph you ask? Ralph was a bunny we 'rescued' in our back yard after his mama decided to build a nest in my flower bed.  Ralph has two siblings, but Lola & Sammy decided they needed to 'play' with them, and well, Ralph was the only one we could find, he was cowering in the corner so we 'rescued' him.

We actually had him for almost 2 months and then he went to that great field of clover in the sky.  Here are some pictures of his time with us.

The beginning pics are of Ralph and his siblings then a few shots here and there as we took care of him.

Lola was ever hopeful that she could 'play' with Ralph

Six Flags

We went to Six Flags for the first time and had a great time.  We were there with Susan & Rick, Casey & his family, Cara & her family and Bonnie & her family.  We were also there with the heat, in fact I think it was one of the hottest days of the summer, but we had a great time!

We tie-dyed t-shirts for all the kids the day before the big day and it was a great way to keep track of them in the park, plus they looked really cute too.

some very excited kids

love the shirts!

Hank really is excited to be there with his kids

four on the Flume!

Silas knew how to keep cool

water was a favorite thing to play in

getting ready to watch a show

the Tidal Wave was the favorite ride of the day
Hank, Laura & Joey braved the Ninja while Noreen & I waited.   Joey was beaten by the Ninja and had to rest his shaky legs when he was done.

Even with the Ninja shakes and the heat, it was a great day!

Let Summer Begin

So I decided I better play catch up if I'm actually going to do this blog business.

We started our summer with Joey going to Cub Scout Day Camp for a week (no pictures) and the girls heading to the water park, well the Aunt Susan & Uncle Rick Water Park.  Joey got picked up early from camp so he could join in the fun.

A genuine backyard water park.

Everyone plays nice and waits in line.

 Yes! I finally made it!

This is as daring as Lucy gets,

while Silas settles for the little slide.

Ah, fun in the sun.

One Year Ago Today

I checked the calendar and realized that today would have been my mom & dad's 57th wedding anniversary, but also a year ago the kids and I boarded a plane to spend 2 weeks in England along with my mom, John, Susan & Rick, we had to leave dad behind since he had just started a new job in February.

the kids & I ready to leave Lambert Airport

After a very long flight we ended up at Heathrow in London and spent a great 2 weeks staying in Desborough and touring London, Warwick Castle, Rockingham Castle, Foxton Locks and having a wonderful time reuniting with family.

                                                  The George in Desborough

                                                 Buckingham Palace-London

                                                                   Trafalgar Square-London

                                                           Warwick Castle

                                             The Mound at Warwick Castle

                                                       Rockingham Castle

                                                                 Foxton Locks

                                                 The whole family at Katie's

Many great memories that we have relived for an entire year, just wanted to share a walk down memory lane and only 9 of the over 800 pictures we took on our trip!

Getting Started

I've actually been thinking about doing this for quite a while and Hank has mentioned it a few times also. In fact, he came up with the blog title a while back and is quite proud of his play on our name, so here we go!

I'm going to try to use this to help record things that happen in our lives for my benefit, but also so family and friends that don't see us all the time can keep up with what's going on in our life.

Life can just be crazy and sometimes it's a good crazy we want to remember and sometimes it's a bad crazy that we just need to remember and that's what this will be all about.

Hopefully I won't bore anyone too much with all the little crazy and non-crazy things that happen in our lives and if I do I'll apologize now and get it out of the way.
